I am an applied economist, and an urban and regional planner with over 40 years of professional experience in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Currently, I teach the fundamentals of cultural and environmental ecology of human settlements at Temple University in Philadelphia. I have interests in history, energy policy, energy technology, sustainability, and land use and development regulations and codes (e.g., zoning). I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), the American Planning Association (APA), the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), and a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, The International Economics Honor Society.
I am an amateur genealogist and avid biker. I have been married for over 50 years, have three adult children, and three grandchildren. I have lived in New Castle County, Delaware since 1987.
Since 2017, I have been an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator for two large enrollment sections of the People, Places and Environment (PPE) Course at Temple University. I am a contributing author to the People, Places and Environment Reader (edited by William J. Cohen, McGraw -Hill Education, 2014).
